ArtsConnection Teen Reviewers and Critics (TRaC)

TRaC is your chance to explore the city, meet new friends, and make your voice heard. ArtsConnection offers FREE field trips and workshops focusing on writing/journalism about visual arts, music, theater and dance, media and multi-arts, and/or film.

Dates: meets once a week after school for 10 weeks in the fall or spring. School credit is awarded at certain schools (ask your school whether it offers credit for participation).

Fall 2026 choices:

• Theater/Dance (Wednesdays)
• Film (Thursdays)
• Music (Fridays)
• Multi-arts (Fridays)

You’ll get a chance to:

• Attend 5 free field trips to see live performances, exhibitions, or screenings
• Meet weekly for workshops where you’ll write, reflect, and share your thoughts
• Build discussion and journalism skills and publish your writing on ArtsConnection’s blog, The JAR
• Collaborate and connect with other art enthusiasts

TRaC continues in the summer as Map Free City.

Eligibility:

• Open to NYC public school students
